It challenges you to imagine what life would be like if you saw double—the good and the person beside you, or the bad. The story follows a tormented woman who experiences this haunting reality. It is truly a chilling film.

The main actress, Cocco, is not only an accomplished actress but also a talented singer, and she actually performs several songs in the movie. Her singing voice is quite pleasant and adds a unique charm to the film. Despite my interest, I wasn’t able to find a lot of detailed information about her background or career. However, I sincerely hope she is enjoying considerable success in Japan’s entertainment industry. Her presence in the film reminded me a bit of Kanon from the group Atarashii Gakko, as she shares a similar elegant and classy charm. There’s a kind of refined, almost royal beauty about her that really stands out.

Returning to the film, there is something incredibly horrifying about this story, especially because the main character has a child as well. This fact adds layers of complexity and makes certain moments in the film feel even more disturbing and intense. Her mental illness plays a significant role in shaping the narrative, contributing to the unsettling atmosphere throughout. I decided to buy this film out of curiosity, which is something I occasionally do—I often pick up movies from Japan that I’ve never heard about before because I have a deep interest in Japanese cinema. Actually, I am fascinated by Asian cinema in general, but Japanese filmmakers consistently surprise me in unique ways. They have a remarkable talent for portraying realism, and their stories are often so different, original, and captivating. Another bonus for me is that it allows me to listen to the Japanese language, which is beneficial since I am currently a Japanese language student.
